(-)-Epigallocatechin Gallate-d3/d4 - Introduction

(-)-Epigallocatechin Gallate-d3/d4, abbreviated as EGCG-d3/d4, is an isomer of (-)-Epigallocatechin-d3/d4, which is an important compound. It is one of the main components of caffeine and a major catechin in green tea. EGCG-d3/d4 has many beneficial properties and a wide range of applications.

Nature:
EGCG-d3/d4 is a colorless crystalline powder with a relative molecular mass of 591.53(EGCG-d3) or 595.55(EGCG-d4). It is insoluble in water and soluble in alcohols and organic solvents. It has strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, with the potential to inhibit tumor cell growth and promote life prolongation. In addition, EGCG-d3/d4 also has antibacterial, antiviral and anti-cardiovascular effects.

Use:
EGCG-d3/d4 is widely used in pharmaceutical research and development and health care products manufacturing. It is used as an antioxidant, an antitumor agent, an anticancer agent, a slimming agent, an antibacterial agent, and the like. EGCG-d3/d4 can be used as the main component of functional health food, which can eliminate free radicals, prevent cancer and cardiovascular diseases, promote metabolism and improve immunity.

Preparation Method:
The preparation method of EGCG-d3/d4 is more complicated and is mainly obtained by synthetic chemical means. A common approach is to synthesize EGCG-d3/d4 using an in situ esterification reaction or a phenolic acid reaction. The preparation process requires the development of suitable synthetic pathways and reaction conditions, combined with multi-step reactions for synthesis.

Safety Information:
EGCG-d3/d4 is relatively safe in reasonable amounts, but it should be used with caution. High doses may cause gastrointestinal discomfort, insomnia, headache, palpitations and other side effects. Long-term high intake may have adverse effects on the liver and kidneys. To ensure safe use, it is recommended to consult a doctor or professional before use.
